Each piece demonstrates interesting and curriculum based scientific principals through the
medium of dance. The dances are engaging and innovative, followed up by interactive segments about the principals
at work. All dances are original choreography.
Ghost in the Machine
"Question: "What could be cooler than a real Segway (advanced two wheeled people mover)? Answer: People dancing on a Segway! We dance on the Segway to illustrate how humans can balance in amazing ways
and how the surprising behavior of gyroscopes is used to "balance" hi-tech machines.
We use a real home-made gyroscope onstage to demonstrate how gravity and Newton's
laws conspire to make gyroscopes appear to defy gravity. (Instructions for making your own gyroscope can be
found in our Study Guide) Students are invited to make hypotheses, predict outcomes for various scenarios
and even do thought experiments.
She Blinded me with Science!
This get up and go dance kicks off the show with a high energy spring into the world of science
and dance. Whimsical, fun, and athletic!

Moon In a Bucket
This dance explores the concept of buoyancy through the use of 3 foot buoyancy-neutral
balloons. The balloons weigh the same as the air around them and so they neither rise nor fall but float magically.
The dance is mysterious and compelling, but the sharp eye will also catch a variety of scientific concepts such as Newton's
3rd law, drafting and the Bernoulli principle.

This Junkyard Diva and her pet tire collaborate on some extreme balances. This is a tour de force piece
which combines athleticism and grace. Locomotion is achieved with a minimum of friction but stability is another
matter.
A fun Finale for those days we have time left!
For tight schedules, schools can choose between the finale or Q&A.
